Why Payment Setup is Required
Stripe Connect handles all payment processing for Stortech. This includes:
Processing customer credit cards securely
Automatic monthly billing
Direct deposits to your bank account
Secure payment data storage
Important: You must complete payment setup before creating your facility.
Setup Process Overview
Payment setup takes about 15-20 minutes to complete and 1-3 days for verification.
Step-by-Step Setup
Step 1: Start Payment Setup
After creating your Stortech account, you'll be redirected to Stripe Connect automatically.
Create a password for your Stripe account
Use the same email as your Stortech account
Save your password securely
Step 2: Enable Two-Factor Authentication
For security, Stripe requires phone verification:
Select "Use your phone"
Enter your mobile number
Enter the code sent via SMS
Save your backup code - you'll need this if you lose phone access
Step 3: Enter Business Information
Fill in your business details exactly as they appear on official documents:
Select your business type (Company/Corporation)
Enter your legal business name
Add your business registration number
Provide your business address
Select "Real Estate Rentals" as your industry
Step 4: Tax Configuration
Critical Step - Read Carefully
When you see the tax configuration page:
Select "Services" as your product type
Click "Not for now" (Pas pour l'instant)
DO NOT enable Stripe Tax
This is crucial - Stortech handles taxes separately.
Step 5: Connect Your Bank Account
Add your business banking information:
Enter your routing and account numbers
Use "Manual" for transfer frequency
This gives you control over when funds transfer
Step 6: Verify Your Identity
Upload a clear photo of your government ID:
Ensure all text is readable
Include all four corners of the ID
Enter your personal information as it appears on the ID
Step 7: Submit and Wait
Review all information
Accept terms of service
Submit your application
Check email for updates (1-3 business days)
Common Issues & Solutions
Verification Taking Too Long
Most verifications complete in 1-3 days
Check your email (including spam) for update requests
Contact support if it's been more than 3 days
Documents Rejected
Ensure business name matches exactly across all documents
Upload clearer photos if requested
Verify all information matches your registration
Accidentally Enabled Stripe Tax
Stop immediately and contact support at [email protected] with "URGENT: Stripe Tax Enabled" in the subject.
After Approval
Once approved, you'll be automatically returned to Stortech to continue setup. You can then:
Create your facility
Add units and pricing
Start accepting customer payments
