Understanding Booking Statuses

Learn about the different booking statuses in Stortech (Upcoming, Active, Ending Soon, Ended, Pending) and how they affect your facility management workflow.

Every booking in Stortech has a status that tells you where it is in its lifecycle. Understanding these statuses helps you manage your facility effectively, prepare for move-ins and move-outs, and track which customers need attention.

Booking Status Overview

Stortech uses five main booking statuses:

À venir (Upcoming) - The booking has been created but the move-in date is in the future. You'll see this when a customer booked in advance. Prepare the unit for move-in and ensure the first invoice is ready. This status automatically changes to Active on the move-in date.

Actif (Active) - The customer is currently renting the unit. This is the normal state for most bookings. The move-in date has passed and the customer is actively paying. Monitor payment status and address any customer issues.

Termine bientôt (Ending Soon) - The booking has a move-out date approaching within the next 30 days. Prepare for unit turnover, schedule final inspection, and process any final charges or refunds. This status automatically changes to Ended after the move-out date.

Terminé (Ended) - The booking is complete and the customer has moved out. Inspect the unit for damage, process the security deposit if applicable, and mark the unit as available.

En attente (Pending) - The booking requires some action before it becomes fully active. This could be awaiting payment confirmation, document signature, or admin approval.

Payment Methods

Bookings also show how the customer pays:

En ligne (Online) - Customer pays automatically via Stripe credit card. Benefits include automatic monthly charges, less manual work, and reduced late payments.

Hors-ligne (Offline) - Customer pays manually by cash, check, or transfer. This requires manual invoice tracking and marking payments as received.

Filtering by Status

On the Bookings page, use the filter buttons at the top to view specific statuses: Tous (All), À venir (Upcoming), Actif (Active), Termine bientôt (Ending Soon), or Terminé (Ended).

When Statuses Change Automatically

Upcoming changes to Active on the move-in date at midnight. Active changes to Ending Soon when the move-out date is within 30 days. Ending Soon changes to Ended on the move-out date at midnight.

Daily Best Practices

Check Upcoming bookings to prepare for today's move-ins. Review Ending Soon to plan for upcoming move-outs. Monitor Active bookings for any payment issues. Review Ended bookings weekly to ensure units are marked available.
