The dashboard is the first page you see after logging into Stortech. It gives you an at-a-glance view of what needs attention today: your key metrics (revenue, balances to collect, occupancy rate, and more), upcoming arrivals and departures, and invoices to collect. It's your starting point for the day.
Who this article is for
The dashboard is available to all roles with access to the facility: Owner, Manager, and Employee. Visible content can vary by role permissions. If a section seems to be missing, ask an Owner to check your permissions.
Navigating the dashboard
Step 1.
Make sure the right facility is selected (its name shows in the top left).
Step 2.
Click Dashboard in the left menu.
Step 3.
The page shows a row of six metrics (Monthly Revenue, Balances to Collect, Occupancy Rate, Move-Ins, Delinquent Accounts, Waiting List, some with a period selector like This month), followed by the operational lists Upcoming Arrivals & Departures and Invoices to Collect.
Reading upcoming arrivals and departures
The Upcoming Arrivals & Departures block is split into three tabs: All (combined arrivals and departures scheduled for the period), Arrivals (bookings whose start date falls in the period, with a count), and Departures (bookings whose end date falls in the period, with a count). Each row is tagged Move-in or Move-out.
Click a row to open the booking's card directly.
Reading invoices to collect
The Invoices to collect block shows two tabs: Open (invoices issued but not yet settled, including pre-authorized debit payments in progress) and Overdue (invoices whose due date has passed unpaid).
Click an invoice to open it and see applied payments or issue a refund if needed (same interaction as an arrival/departure row above).
Using global search
Global search lets you find any entity in the facility, from any page.
Step 1.
Click the search icon at the top of the left menu, or press Cmd+K (Mac) / Ctrl+K (Windows) from any page.
Step 2.
Type a name, email, unit number, or booking number.
Step 3.
Select the result from the list to open the matching card.
Step 4.
To close the search, click Close search or press Escape.
From workspace pages (like Sites, where no specific facility is selected yet), Cmd+K/Ctrl+K search covers every facility you have access to: each result is labeled with its facility of origin. On mobile, a search icon in the bottom navigation bar opens the same search.
What happens automatically
Tab counters (Arrivals, Departures, Open) update automatically as bookings or invoices change state.
The dashboard is read-only: no email is sent and no change is saved from this page.
Card links open the matching card (booking, contact, invoice) without changing its state.

Common issues
Why does a dashboard counter look wrong (e.g. 0 arrivals when there's one in the Bookings list)?
Check: have you reloaded the page? Is the selected period the right one?
Do: if the gap persists after reloading, open the booking's card to confirm the date and status.
The search bar doesn't find a customer I know exists.
Check: have you tried part of their email or name? Is the correct facility selected?
Do: check the active facility in the top left. If still nothing, open the Contacts list to find the customer manually.
No invoice shows under Overdue even though I expect one.
Check: a pre-authorized debit invoice in progress doesn't show as overdue until Stripe confirms it's past due.
Do: check the invoice's status in the Invoices list. If it's still processing, wait for Stripe's confirmation (1 to 5 business days).
Common questions
How do I see my facility's occupancy rate? — The Occupancy rate metric at the top of the dashboard shows it as a percentage.
How do I quickly find a booking, customer, or unit? — Click the search icon in the left menu, or use the Cmd+K / Ctrl+K shortcut from any page. You can type a name, email, unit number, or booking number.
Why does a counter look wrong? — Check the selected period and reload the page. If the gap persists, open the booking's card to confirm the date and status.
Which invoices show as "Overdue"? — Ones whose due date has passed and that aren't settled. A pre-authorized debit invoice in progress doesn't show as overdue until Stripe confirms it.
