The dashboard is the first page you see after signing into Stortech. It gives you an at-a-glance view of what needs to be done today: the global search bar, your facility's occupancy rate, upcoming move-ins and move-outs, and invoices to collect. It's your starting point for the day.

Common questions

  • How do I see my facility's occupancy rate? The Occupancy rate block at the top of the dashboard shows it with a period picker (default This month).

  • How do I quickly find a booking, customer, or unit? Use the global search bar in the center of the header. You can type a name, email, unit number, or booking number.

  • Why does a counter look wrong? Check the selected period and reload the page. If the gap persists, open the booking record to confirm the date and status.

  • Which invoices show up as "Overdue"? Those whose due date has passed and aren't settled. An invoice on a pre-authorized debit in progress doesn't show as overdue until Stripe confirms it.

Who this article is for

The dashboard is available to all roles with access to the facility: Owner, Manager, and Employee. The visible content can vary by role permissions. If a section seems missing, ask an Owner to check your permissions.

Navigate the dashboard

To open the dashboard:

  1. Make sure the right facility is selected (the name appears at the top left).

  2. Click Dashboard in the left menu.

  3. The page shows three main sections:

    - a global search bar centered in the header; - an Occupancy rate block with a period picker (default This month); - the operational lists Upcoming move-ins and move-outs and Invoices to collect.

Read upcoming move-ins and move-outs

The Upcoming move-ins and move-outs block is split into three tabs:

  • All, combination of planned move-ins and move-outs for the period.

  • Move-ins, bookings whose move-in date falls within the period. The counter shows how many are scheduled.

  • Move-outs, bookings whose move-out date falls within the period, with a counter.

Click a row to open the booking record directly.

Read invoices to collect

The Invoices to collect block shows two tabs:

  • Open, issued invoices not yet settled (including pre-authorized debit payments in progress).

  • Overdue, invoices whose due date has passed without payment.

Click an invoice to open it and see applied payments or issue a refund if needed.

Use the global search

The search bar in the center of the header lets you find any entity in the facility:

  1. Click the search bar.

  2. Type a name, email, unit number, or booking number.

  3. Pick the result from the list to open the matching record.

  4. To close the search, click Close search or press Esc.

What happens automatically

  • The tab counters (Move-ins, Move-outs, Open) update automatically as bookings or invoices change state.

  • The dashboard is read-only: no email is sent and no change is recorded from this page.

  • Card links open the matching record (booking, contact, invoice) without changing state.

What to do

Why does a dashboard counter look wrong (e.g. 0 move-ins when there's one in the Rentals list)?

Have you reloaded the page? Is the selected period correct?

If the gap persists after reload, open the booking record to confirm the date and status.

The search bar doesn't find a customer I know. Why?

Did you try a portion of the email or name? Is the active facility the right one?

Check the active facility at the top left. If still nothing, open the Contacts list to find the customer manually.

No invoice appears in Overdue when I expect one. Why?

An invoice being processed by pre-authorized debit doesn't show as overdue until Stripe confirms it expired.

Check the relevant invoice's status in the Invoices list. If it's still processing, wait for Stripe confirmation (1 to 5 business days).
