A contact only has one primary email, but a business customer often needs their invoices to reach several people: their boss, their accounting department, a broker, or head office. You can add additional billing emails to a contact record. These addresses are CC'd on every payment receipt and invoice reminder Stortech sends, on top of the primary email.
Who this article is for
Editing a contact needs the Owner or Manager role. If the field is missing or greyed out, ask an Owner on your team to check your permissions.
Adding recipients (CC)
You can add recipients when creating a contact, or by editing an existing one:
Step 1.
From the left menu, open Contacts.
Step 2.
Click Create contact (new contact), or open an existing contact's record and click Edit.
Step 3.
Find the Additional invoice emails field.
Step 4.
Enter an email address, then click Add recipient to add more lines. To remove an address, click Remove at the end of the line.
Step 5.
Click Save Changes.
You can add up to 10 additional addresses per contact.
What happens next
Every time Stortech sends a payment receipt or invoice reminder to this contact, the additional addresses are CC'd. The contact's primary email always receives the invoice; the additional addresses are added on top. It's a visible copy (CC), not a blind copy: every recipient sees the other addresses in copy.
Good to know
Empty, invalid, or duplicate addresses are ignored automatically, and the primary email is never duplicated. Only payment receipts and invoice reminders are covered for now; late notices and late-fee notices aren't CC'd yet. Additional recipients only receive a copy of the emails; they don't get access to the customer portal or the contact's payment method.
