The Access-control activity panel shows the history of entries, denied access attempts, zone arm/disarm events, and alarms reported by your ICT Protege GX access control system, right in your settings. Handy for checking who came in, when, or why an alarm went off, without calling your integrator.
Who this article is for
Owners and managers of a facility whose ICT Protege GX access control is active. The panel only appears for facilities with ICT live. Facilities using another provider (OpenTech, PDK, ONELock) see the generic Recent activity panel in the same place instead.
View the activity
Step 1.
Open Settings, then in the left navigation, under the Organization group, click Integrations.
Step 2.
The Access-control activity panel appears below the ICT Protege GX card.
Step 3.
Use the dropdown at the top of the panel to filter by event type (Access granted, Access denied, Area armed, Area disarmed, Alarm, or Other), or leave All types to see everything.
The dropdown at the top of the panel filters the list by event type.
Step 4.
Each row shows the date of the event, its type (colored pill), a short description sent by the controller, the door involved when it could be identified, and, when Stortech could link them, the contact and unit. A dash (—) in a column means the event couldn't be linked to it, which is normal for an area arm or disarm.
Each row shows the date, the type, the description sent by the controller, the door, the contact and the unit. Tenant names are masked in this image.
Step 5.
Click Load more at the bottom of the list to see older events.
What happens automatically
New events reported by your ICT controller appear automatically in this panel, usually within a few minutes of happening. Nothing to configure: they stream in, most recent first.
Event types
Type | Meaning |
Access granted | A PIN or card was accepted by the system. |
Access denied | An entry attempt was refused (wrong PIN, unauthorized access). |
Area armed | A monitored zone's alarm was turned on. |
Area disarmed | A monitored zone's alarm was turned off. |
Alarm | An alarm triggered on the controller. |
Other | A controller event that doesn't match any type above. |
Common issues
The panel doesn't appear at all.
Check: does your ICT Protege GX system show the Active status under Organization → Integrations?
Do: if your facility uses another provider (OpenTech, PDK, ONELock), the generic Recent activity panel shows instead, in the same place. That's expected.
The list stays empty.
Check: on a facility that was just activated, events only start appearing once syncing kicks in — give it a few minutes.
Do: for a controller installed on-site (rather than cloud-hosted), event syncing rolls out gradually per installation. If the list is still empty after a few hours, contact support to confirm your installation is covered.
The door, contact, or unit shows a dash.
Check: that's expected for an area arm or disarm, which isn't tied to a specific door or customer.
Do: for an access granted or denied event, a persistent dash on the contact or unit can mean the user or Protege zone isn't linked to a contact or unit in Stortech yet. Contact support to verify the mapping.
FAQ
How often do new events appear? Usually within a few minutes of happening.
Can I unlock a door from this panel? No, this panel only shows event history. To lock or unlock a door remotely, see Remotely controlling your doors.
Can I export this list? Not at this time.
Why does an event show the "Other" type? Stortech groups controller events under "Other" when they don't match any of the recognized types (access, arm/disarm, alarm).
Does this include events from other providers? No. This panel is specific to ICT Protege GX. Facilities using OpenTech, PDK, or ONELock (KISS) see the Recent activity panel instead.
