Settings gathers all your facility's configuration in one tabbed screen: general information, billing, late fees, taxes, access control, team, and lease. It's where you come back when you want to adjust a default behaviour for the facility (billing cycle, move-out notice, access provider, etc.).

Common questions

  • Where do I find my facility's settings? From the main menu, click Settings. The page opens with seven tabs: General, Billing, Late Fees, Taxes, Access Control, Team, Lease.

  • How do I change my facility's default billing cycle? In the Billing tab, choose the Billing cycle method: First of the month, Anniversary, or 4-week cycle. Click Update. The change only affects new bookings.

  • How do I change the default minimum move-out notice? In the Billing tab, adjust Minimum cancellation period (2 to 120 days). Applies to new move-outs; already-scheduled move-outs keep their original notice.

  • How do I set up access control (gate, keypads)? In the Access Control tab, choose your provider (OpenTech, ICT, PDK) and click Configure. Initial setup requires credentials provided by the vendor; contact support if the button is greyed out.

  • How do I limit how many days in advance a customer can book? In the Billing tab, adjust Advance booking (0 to several hundred days). 0 days = same day only.

  • Why doesn't my facility image appear on the storefront? Check that it was actually saved (reload the page). If the issue persists, re-upload with a PNG or JPEG under 5 MB.

    • Anniversary, billing on the move-in date of each month.

    • 4-week cycle, billing every 4 weeks.

Late Fees tab

See the Late fees article for details. Main fields: Enable late fees, Grace period (days), Fee type (fixed amount or percentage), Percentage or amount.

Taxes tab

See the Taxes article. The Add a tax button creates a new applicable tax.

Access Control tab

Three supported providers:

  • OpenTech Alliance, keypads, SmartLocks, and gate controllers.

  • ICT Protege GX, gate access and PIN management via Protege GX controllers.

  • PDK, 2.0 integration based on holders and groups for access control.

For each provider, the state is Not configured or Active. The Configure button kicks off the configuration flow; Manage appears once the provider is active.

Initial provider setup requires credentials provided by the vendor. The Configure button is typically greyed out for operators without these credentials; contact support for setup.

Team tab

See the Team and roles article. Team members table with roles Owner, Manager, Employee, status Active or Invited, Remove action, and an invitation form.

Lease tab

See the Electronic lease template article. Points to the facility's BoldSign electronic lease template.

What happens automatically

  • Saving a General field (name, address, image): the change is immediate; the storefront updates on the next load.

  • Changing the billing cycle: new bookings use the new method; active subscriptions aren't converted automatically.

  • Changing the notice: applies to new move-outs; already-scheduled move-outs keep their original notice.

  • Activating an access provider: triggers the creation of holders (PDK) or PINs (ICT) for active rentals.
