When a customer gets access to your facility's doors, Stortech sends them their access code (PIN) by email. Most of the time, this email arrives without issue. Occasionally it's never delivered, even though the send succeeded on our end.
What changes
The demo facility has no access-control provider configured: this capture shows the real Activity tab, but not the delivery-failure note itself (not triggerable on this account).
If the customer's email address outright rejects the message (invalid address, full or nonexistent mailbox) or the customer marks it as spam, Stortech now adds a note directly to the Activity of the lease and the contact. You no longer have to wait for the customer to tell you they didn't get their code: you see it appear on their file.
A simple temporary delivery delay (for example a busy mail server for a few minutes) does not trigger this note; only a definitive failure or a complaint does.
What to do when you see this note
Step 1.
Open the contact's card and check that their email address is correct. Fix it if needed.
Step 2.
From the lease's card, click Resend PIN to send the code again to the correct address. See View, resend, and regenerate a customer's access code (PIN) for the full steps.
Without this correction, the customer risks showing up at your facility without a working code.
