The View on Stripe button, in a facility's billing settings, opens that facility's connected Stripe dashboard in a new tab. No more hunting for the right account URL or account ID on dashboard.stripe.com.
Who this article is for
The Payments & cycle settings tab is limited to the Owner and Manager roles. Without one of those roles the tab does not appear in the navigation column: ask a facility owner to open the dashboard, or to change your role.
Open a facility's Stripe dashboard
Step 1.
In the main menu, click Settings.
Step 2.
In the navigation column, under the Billing group, click Payments & cycle.
Step 3.
In the Payment account section, click View on Stripe.
The Payment account section shows the account status and the View on Stripe button.
Step 4.
The connected account's Stripe dashboard opens in a new tab.
What happens automatically
The right account, every time. The link is generated at the moment you click and leads to the Stripe account of the facility you have open, never to an account your browser remembered.
The button only appears once Stripe setup is finished. Until the Stripe signup form has been submitted, the Payment account section shows a setup button instead. See Finish your Stripe setup.
Common problems
Clicking View on Stripe shows an error instead of opening the dashboard.
Check: does the message say Stripe setup is not finished? If so, the Stripe signup form was never submitted all the way through, even if the section appeared to say otherwise.
Do: reload the page, then click Continue setup and finish the Stripe form. For any other message, try the click once more; if the error persists, contact support.
Nothing opens, or an empty tab stays on screen.
Check: is your browser blocking pop-ups for app.stortech.io?
Do: allow pop-ups for app.stortech.io, then click View on Stripe again.
Common questions
Do I need to remember my Stripe account URL? No. The View on Stripe button takes you straight there, in the right connected account.
Why don't I see the View on Stripe button? Three possible reasons: your role does not give you access to the Payments & cycle tab; no Stripe account is connected to the facility yet, and a Set up button appears instead; or setup was started but never finished, and a Continue setup button is showing.
Do I need to sign in to Stripe separately? It depends on your Stripe session in that browser: the button opens the connected account's dashboard, but Stripe may ask you to authenticate if you are not already signed in.
