The eSign console gathers every lease document at a site into one read-only view: which ones need manager handling, which are with the tenant awaiting signature, which are completed or voided, and which completed leases show a gap between what was sent for signature and the rental's current state. It's the equivalent of SiteLink's eFile queues, useful during a migration and for day-to-day controls alike.
Who this article is for
The console lives under the Lease template settings tab, which requires the Owner or Manager role — a Staff member does not see this tab, even if their role otherwise allows viewing contracts.
Before you start
No setup is required: the console reads documents that already exist, whether they came from the Stortech contract builder or an uploaded PDF. It makes no call to BoldSign when the page loads — it shows the state already recorded in Stortech, not the live state at the signature provider.
Open the eSign console
Step 1.
In the left menu, go to Settings, then open the Lease template tab.
Step 2.
Click the eSign console button. The page opens with a back button to Lease template.
The top of the page shows a total ("X lease documents · Y audit warnings"), four counter cards (Manager review, Out for signature, Completed, Audit warnings), then the filter bar and search.
The top of the console: the total, the four counter cards, and the six filter tabs.
The queues
Six tabs narrow the list. All is the default; the other five isolate one queue. Note that Voided has a tab but no counter card at the top of the page.
Tab | What it shows |
All | Every lease document at the site, unfiltered |
Manager review | Unsigned paper or manual leases, digital rows that failed/were skipped/are blocked on identity verification, or unsigned leases with no document at the provider |
Out for signature | Unsigned leases already sent to a signature provider |
Completed | Leases signed locally (tenant-signed status, contract-signed status, or a document marked signed) |
Voided | Cancelled, expired, revoked, or declined leases, or leases marked as not requiring a signature |
Audit warnings | Cuts across the four queues above: shows only the rows the audit flagged (see the next section) |
Search, export, print
The search field filters by lease, tenant, unit, or document.
The table shows nine columns: Lease, Queue, Audit, Tenant, Unit, Tenant rate, Standard rate, Sent at and Document. Warning details appear under the pill in the Audit column, not in a separate column. The list is paginated.
The Export button opens a two-option menu: CSV (.csv) or Excel workbook (.xlsx). The export carries the rows of the active filter, but with more columns than the screen shows — it adds email, unit type, sent rate, rate variance, promotion, signed PDF and the warning details. Handy for comparing against a SiteLink export during a migration. A Print button produces a printable version of the current view.
The fetch is capped at 1,000 rows; past that, a notice explains that totals may understate older documents.
The completed lease audit
For every completed lease, the console compares the values frozen at send time (the latest recorded send snapshot) against the rental's current values: tenant name and email, unit number and type, area, tenant rate, and active promotion. The result shows in the Audit column:
Matched — nothing has changed since it was sent.
Warning — at least one field has changed since it was sent: name, email, unit, unit type, area, or rate changed, or the promotion changed while both the snapshot and the current state know a promotion.
Info — an informational signal only, with no substantive change: for example a promotion that simply wasn't captured in the sent snapshot, a missing provider document ID or signed PDF, or the signed timestamp (see below).
No snapshot — the lease has no send snapshot to compare against. That's normal for an uploaded custom PDF, or for some manual/legacy leases: the console flags the absence instead of guessing at a difference.
The Audit warnings queue. Reasons appear under the Audit pill, and the rate difference under the Standard rate column. Tenant names are masked in this image.
A warning doesn't block anything: the lease stays valid. It exists to surface cases where the signed document no longer exactly matches today's rental (for example a unit transfer or a rate change that happened after it was sent), so you can decide whether an addendum or a new lease is needed.
The Methodology button at the bottom of the page restates in one line where the rows come from, what the audit compares, and why the signed date isn't stored yet.
What the signed date doesn't show yet. Stortech records the signed status and the signed PDF, but not yet the exact signature timestamp the provider reports. A completed lease will therefore carry an informational warning on this point until that data is stored; it isn't an error on your end.
Common issues
A lease I know is signed shows up under "Manager review".
Check: is it a paper or manually uploaded lease rather than one signed through the contract builder?
Do: paper and manual leases land in "Manager review" until they're marked signed in Stortech. See Marking a lease as signed.
A lease shows "No snapshot" even though it was definitely sent.
Check: does the lease come from an uploaded custom PDF rather than the Stortech contract builder?
Do: that's expected. Only Stortech-generated leases keep a detailed snapshot at send time; an uploaded PDF has no such data to compare, and the console says so rather than inventing a discrepancy.
I want to fix a lease flagged with a warning.
Check: the console is read-only — it doesn't let you resend, void, or recreate a document from this page.
Do: open the rental from its lease number in the list to act on the document (resend, void, new lease).
Common questions
Does the console call BoldSign on every load? No. It only reads state already recorded in Stortech (contract, rental, latest send snapshot), never the live provider.
Can a Staff member see the console? No. The entire Lease template tab is reserved for the Owner and Manager roles.
Can I edit a document from this page? No, the console is read-only. Use the lease number to open the rental and act on the document from there.
Where is the rate variance? On screen it appears under the Standard rate column, beneath the amount ("Diff $0.00"). It only shows when the send snapshot has a sent rate to compare against: with no snapshot, there's nothing to compare. The standalone Rate variance column exists only in the CSV and workbook exports.
